OK, so I am just trying to get the hang of this. I sent an e-mail to the Nozbe project and am having an issue. It adds the item as a task, but it isn't parsing out my e-mail signature, or parsing out the length of time. Here is the line in the e-mail:

* Follow up on Faithwords account creation for CSS @Computer next week %15 min

What is wrong with the formatting of this statement? I would like this to go into the project to-do list (which it did). However, I would like the context to be "computer", the length of time required, be 15 min, and the follow-up to be next week.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Love Sharepoint. We have seen Apple surpass Microsoft because of a keen understanding of the way a "consumers" mind works. On the flipside, we havent yet seen Microsoft understand the way a "business" mind works.....politics, fear and politics....that is the main barrier to business adopting quickly.
However I beleive this is the new land of oppurtunity. Maybe Apple have paved the way..

I agree with you. But is it really a business for Microsoft? Or for his partners?
I think on this way Microsoft is now trying to keep and help his more interesting partners to promote their products.
Microsoft leaves a lot of opportunity to partners to develop business strategies but they was not ready before to speak with functionals... But it will change in the near futur like with ERP systems few year ago

I think that as a company there definitely needs to be a bigger push to support power users, or functionals as you call them. It is really by helping to empower these folks that we will see SharePoint really take off and in turn businesses derive increasingly greater value from their investments. I hope we will see much more of that in the year to come

I couldn't agree more with you! Way too often I feel that Microsoft's focus on SharePoint is too technical, and that they forget the "Functionals".
I'm in a similar position as you, and I also admire the work Michael, Dux, and Paul are doing.

I would recommend checking out <a href="http://www.gtdagenda.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.Gtdagenda.com</a> too for an online GTD manager.

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
Comes with a mobile version too, and with an Android app.

Roland,

You can click on the Autocorrect Options icon that appears right after the * got converted to a bullet point. Then you can select "Undo automatic bullets" or "Stop Automatically Creating bullets" or you can also format your email as text in stead of html or Rich Text.

Hi Hannah,

I have used RTM for a while. For me there are some important differences between the two. One thing is, that it is extremly easy to create a Next Action in <a href="http://www.nozbe.com/a-C8F57F9D" rel="nofollow">Nozbe</a>.The way I used RTM demanded too much effort from me when I was inputting my actions. At this moment I am writing a blog post on this and hope to have it online soon. In this post I'll explain what I like in Remember The Milk and <a href="http://www.nozbe.com/a-C8F57F9D" rel="nofollow">Nozbe</a>, what I didn't like, and why I changed from RTM to Nozbe.
Oh yes, you can create a free of charge account for Nozbe via this <a href="http://www.nozbe.com/a-C8F57F9D" rel="nofollow">link</a>. The account is limited in number of Projects and Contexts, but you can start from this free account and really SEE and DO some Nozbe GTD.

I have used RTM for a while. For me there are some important differences between the two. One thing is, that it is extremly easy to create a Next Action in Nozbe. The way I used RTM demanded too much effort from me when I was inputting my actions. At this moment I am writing a blog post on this and hope to have it online soon. In this post I’ll explain what I like in Remember The Milk and Nozbe, what I didn’t like, and why I changed from RTM to Nozbe.
Oh yes, you can create a free of charge account for Nozbe via this link. The account is limited in number of Projects and Contexts, but you can start from this free account and really SEE and DO some Nozbe GTD.
