Love Sharepoint. We have seen Apple surpass Microsoft because of a keen understanding of the way a "consumers" mind works. On the flipside, we havent yet seen Microsoft understand the way a "business" mind works.....politics, fear and politics....that is the main barrier to business adopting quickly.
However I beleive this is the new land of oppurtunity. Maybe Apple have paved the way..

I agree with you. But is it really a business for Microsoft? Or for his partners?
I think on this way Microsoft is now trying to keep and help his more interesting partners to promote their products.
Microsoft leaves a lot of opportunity to partners to develop business strategies but they was not ready before to speak with functionals... But it will change in the near futur like with ERP systems few year ago

Michael,
As a MS rep, you are doing your part to support power users! Keep it up.

I think that as a company there definitely needs to be a bigger push to support power users, or functionals as you call them. It is really by helping to empower these folks that we will see SharePoint really take off and in turn businesses derive increasingly greater value from their investments. I hope we will see much more of that in the year to come

I couldn't agree more with you! Way too often I feel that Microsoft's focus on SharePoint is too technical, and that they forget the "Functionals".
I'm in a similar position as you, and I also admire the work Michael, Dux, and Paul are doing.
